"Fluffing and Buffing"

Well hello fellow bloggers!!!! 

Where does one start after being away for sooooo very long? I have thought of you all often and have even managed to "pop"

 in on occasion to visit some of you.  I know I know......... my New Year's resolution was to be a better blogger ......but I've been thinking,...(very dangerous!!!) I think I seriously need to change things up a bit.   Shuffle the deck, so to speak.  Stay tuned as I figure out how to go about "fluffing and buffing" my blog!

So  for today, I'll share with you a couple of  cards that have been waiting patiently to be posted.

  

I had a play date with my BFF  Brenda way back in the fall and between  the nibbles, laughs and bubbly coloured up this image I think it's from Stampendous (not sure ,... might have something to do with the bubbly! Lol) The dp is from DCWV, Basic Grey, Bazzill with a Gina K base. This "bombshell" was coloured with Copics and pencils and the sentiment is from Kraftin' Kimmie.

Another card created on the very same day was this one using Tombow markers on a chalked background. Dp is from DCWV  layered onto some Basic Grey with a Gina K base. There's a hint of glitter on the flowers and a few rhinestones added to the Cuttlebug butterfly die.

Ta Da!

  

So how was that? Would you still like to see the Christmas cards that I haven't posted yet? LOL!

We better hold off on that while you recover from the shock of me posting something!

Hi all!

 I know it's been a while since our last visit.

                How have you been? Have you been busy crafting?
Well, since my last post, we celebrated  Sara and Mike's  wedding, then Thanksgiving the next day,  then the hubby and I jumped on a plane and went to Las Vegas for 5 nights that turned into 6 nights because Spirit Airlines decided to cancel our flight and leave about 120 passengers stranded at McCarran airport.........grrrrrrrrr!

                                            

 Talk about having no luck in Vegas!!! LOL! Anyway,.......we made it home safely and that's the main thing!

I've started making my Christmas cards  but I'm far from done! It is definitely on my "To Do List" this week.

So,......I just got home from my annual girls weekend,...........you know the one that I go to every year that I drink way too  much champagne and eat for a family of four?!?!?!

Needless to say,.....if you come to my door in the next few days, I'll be answering the door in my "stretchy pants"!

This sentiment is from Impression Obsession and I decided that it would pair perfectly with this lovely image from  Art Impressions. I watercoloured using my Tombows,  added just a hint of glitter to the roses, cardstock  is Prism, silver vellum, Papertrey and watercolour paper.

Happy Thanksgiving!

To all of my Canadian friends, I wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving!

I thought I'd better post something today because tomorrow will be spent in the kitchen. 

                                          

Today I'm thankful for the  perfect weather for a fall wedding.

You know you're getting older when you've been invited to attend a good friend's daughter's wedding!

Sara is the very first one of my friend's children to take that walk down the  aisle. 

 

This image is an oldie but a goodie from Inkadinkado. It was a quick colour using my Prisma pencils and a bit of sparkle from SU Iridescent Ice. In keeping with the bride's colours, I pulled out this piece of scrap dp from the "scrap stack" then layered on some Prism and Gina K, added a bit of lace and a satiny ribbon.

Tomorrow, when we sit down at the table, we'll each say what we are most thankful for, a little something I started when the kids were just little.

 I think mine will simply be LOVE............

I'm thankful for it................because without it where would we be.
